When on holiday in Stilbaai this December, make sure you get to enjoy the various Tasting Experiences – from local gin and wine to cheese and wine / craft beer / tea to olives and even coffee and chocolates!

Inverroche Gin Distillery – experience the first hand crafted fynbos gin made in South Africa at Stilbaai’s very special gin distillery just off the R305 outside Stilbaai. Book your tour or tasting or relax at the gin lounge. You can also book to attend Gin School (until 13 January 2018) and craft your own gin! They are open from 10am to 4pm (only informal tastings on Sunday and no tours).

Experience Stilbaai’s very own locally produced cheese at Kasselshoop Cheese halfway between Stilbaai and the N2 just off the R305. Make an appointment to taste the various cheeses with your choice of either wine or craft beer or even tea. Their cheese is available at local supermarkets and deli’s.
Book for their cheese and wine / craft beer tasting with Leanie du Randt Bosch, Bouwer Bosch and Bennie Fourie on 26 December from 17:30 to 20:30 who are promoting the movie ‘Vuil Wasgoed’. R100pp. Book with Liezel at Tel: 082 372 6418. Transport can be arranged.

There are a variety of olive farms in the Stilbaai area and the olives and olive oils have received high accolades. Kleinbergskloof Olive Estate, Kransfontein Olives, Oudewerfskloof Olive Farm and Botterkloof as well as The Press Room Café. Their olive products can be found at local retailers in Stilbaai.
Kleinbergskloof will host an informative olive tasting on Tuesday, January 2nd at 16:30 at its venue just about 2km outside Stilbaai on the river road. Book your place – Tel: (028) 754 3181 – and let the owner and passionate olive farmer, Hennie Volschenk, tell you about their products and enjoy this tasting experience. The restaurant and shop are open daily (closed on Mondays and public holidays) for breakfast, lunch and afternoon platters until 17:00.
Stilbaai Kelders is a wine boutique with more than 700 specially selected wines, the widest variety of craft beers and craft gins, various sparkling wines and all the other favourites. They are hosting various in-store tastings and if you have missed the first ones, make sure you attend these:
