There is a ‘new’ take-away in Stilbaai – Hillside Kitchen on top of the ‘hill’ on the corner of Voortrekker Street and Keurboom Avenue.
Housed in the white building with its thatch roof and with luscious green grass at the front door from where one can experience a wide angle view over the town and as far as the ocean, Hillside Kitchen offers ‘Feel Good Food and More’.
The ‘Feel Good Food’ includes their specialty Fish & Chips and other seafood dishes, beef and chicken burgers, pizzas with a thin, crispy crust and Prego’s.
In the hands of Evert du Plessis, who is as much at home in the kitchen as he is running the business, and his wife, Lara, Hillside Kitchen gives you the feeling of being at the sea…
Although primarily a take-away, customers are most welcome to sit down (inside and outside under the umbrellas) and enjoy their meals in a relaxed atmosphere. Bring wine or a beer (or buy at Stilbaai Kelders next door as Hillside Kitchen does not have a liquor license) and enjoy a casual dining experience.
