EXPERIENCE IT! The Stilbaai Craft Beer & Wine Festival on 21 and 22 March in the Community Hall.
Yes, you can celebrate ‘Human Rights Day’ on Monday (21 March) by tasting some of the area’s best wines and craft beer – or if you’ve missed it, you can do so again on Tuesday (22 March) from 17:00 till 22:00 on both evenings (no under 18’s).
Stilbaai’s ‘local’ wine estates as well as various wine farms mostly from the Robertson Valley will have their wines available for tasting while they will also be sell their products – as will the Craft Beer producers that will be available for tasting for the first time in Stilbaai.
So, you have not had ‘craft beer’ yet or want to know more? Well, those in the know will tell you that ‘craft beer’ is being produced in limited amounts by independently-owned breweries that are much smaller than large-scale corporate breweries. The craft beer producers will explain it all to you during these two days.
There will also be olive products (some of these wine farms are also specialising in producing olive products) as well as locally produced cheeses as the festival – two products that go hand in hand with wine tasting!
The Craft Beer & Wine Festival will take place between the two long weekends – it is also school holidays – and the organisers hope to host an informative and relaxed festival where those who appreciate good wines, as well as the new ‘fashionable’ craft beer, can experience and purchase a variety of top quality wines under one roof.
The entry fee is R50 that will include 10 tasting tickets while additional tickets will be available at R10 for 10 tickets.
